Maximise the coach passenger carrying capacity when the wheelchair space is not being used, as the coach or bus remains fully seated at all times.
No need to remove heavy double coach seats off the vehicle to transport a wheelchair user –
as this poses issues of storage space in the hold, time and effort of removal for the driver.
Also by removing seats leaves a permanent vacant area once the wheelchair user has disembarked where there could be seats fitted.
Remove the seat squab cushions and glide seats on patented bases to make space for the wheelchair user.
Attach the belts connected to the bases to secure wheelchair and use the lap and diagonal seat belts in the seat back to safely secure the passenger.
After the wheelchair user has departed the coach, simply reconfigure all seats back into position.
