DELIVERY OF CARE WHILE UNRESTRAINED AND UNSEATED
Ambulance crews are creatures of habit.
Studies have shown medics frequently deliver care unseated and unrestrained. Often, the need to help the patient or reach for supplies forces medics out of their seats in a mobile environment.
But it doesn’t have to be like this.
NMI has worked on a seat solution which allows the medic to be restrained at all times with their seat belt on. How? Well the seat can be quickly and easily moved from one position to another on a plate in the floor and a foot operated lock to secure in position.
This means the Medic can get close and attend to the stretcher patient completely safely.
