Flexible and Secure Stretcher Solution for Ambulances

The securement of stretchers within ambulances is a well-established practice. Equally important is maintaining a flexible interior layout to maximize vehicle functionality. Rapid reconfiguration of the ambulance space is essential — and this is where the NMI Millennium Trolley Lock Fittings deliver outstanding performance.

The Millennium fittings are specifically designed to integrate with the front and rear ends of Ferno trolley locks and are compatible with the NMI Heavy Duty Inset Track system.

The track is installed at a fixed pitch of 255 mm (refer to installation instructions for details).

In just seconds, the fittings and locks can be detached from the tracking, creating additional space within the ambulance — typically to accommodate a second wheelchair position. The NMI Millennium Ratchet Seat Back (see RIPs section), also set at 255 mm centers, can be seamlessly installed in the newly available space.

All equipment has been dynamically tested in five directions to comply with the BS EN 1789 CEN regulations, ensuring the highest standards of safety and reliability.
