Paramedic Seat – Safety in Motion

The patented NMI Paramedic Seat is specifically engineered with paramedic safety and operational efficiency in mind. It enables medical personnel to attend to patients on a stretcher while remaining securely seated with seat belts fastened.

Enhanced Paramedic Safety
The seat offers a range of functional movements — slide, rotate, and lock — allowing the paramedic to remain seated and belted at all times. It can be positioned to face forward, rearward, or sideways, with the ability to lock in any position along its track.
The seat comes equipped with a standard lap and diagonal seat belt for forward or rear-facing travel, as well as a four-point harness for added security when positioned sideways to attend to patients. The harness includes inertia-reel shoulder straps, fixed lateral straps, and a central quick-release buckle for both safety and ease of use.

Adjustable Positioning
The Paramedic Seat is mounted on a floor plate designed to accommodate a variety of predetermined locking positions, established in consultation with the relevant ambulance trust. This allows for flexibility in seat placement, whether against the bulkhead or near the nearside door.

Ease of Operation
To reposition the seat laterally, the paramedic simply turns the star-shaped handle located below the seat cushion. Once unlocked, the seat glides smoothly along its track and clicks securely into the selected stop point. Locking the seat is just as straightforward—rotate the handle to engage the locking mechanism.
For rotational movement, a side-mounted lever enables the seat to swivel effortlessly to the desired orientation. All seat adjustments—whether sliding or rotating—can be performed while the paramedic remains fully harnessed, ensuring maximum safety and convenience.
